"HOW MANY CHILDREN WILL DIE TODAY?"

Written By: Butterfly Iris

Somewhere in the city in the dark and cold,

hides, alone a scared and hungry six year old.

She cries for her Mamma BUT Mamma won't be back...

She's on a mission cause she needs her crack.

In an abandoned building just down the street a child of 12 O.D.'s on drugs,

when the high he really needed was parents full of kisses and hugs.

In another place not so far away,

a little girl is lured from her play.

Her parents can't believe she was taken from her own back yard,

they made only one mistake~they let down their guard.

And now an innocent child is beaten and killed for no good reason,

just because some weirdo needs a sick sence of pleasin'.

Far away on the other side of the world children are caught in the middle of war,

it makes me want to cry out from the highest Mountain Top~"PLEASE STOP! I can't take it NO MORE!"

It makes me ill when the children die,

For they are suppose to be our future so I constantly stop and wonder, WHY?

WHY must so many innocent children pay,

and HOW MANY CHILDREN WILL DIE A SENSELESS DEATH TODAY?
